Service Projects
Community Improvement
Together, We Do More
If your service group is looking for a project to be able to invest back into their community, the following projects are much needed and might be what you are looking for.
Peace Poles

The OCWH is a place were connection happens. Help us install a peace pole to signify what we stand for. (Learn about peace poles
here.)
Steel Murals

Where there is art, life follows.
Help us install steel murals along the permeter of our grounds.
Fruit Trees

The FPR/Urban Harvest community garden found at OCWH serves many. Help us plant fruit trees to increase the provision of food for all.

Paint

Our building gets foot traffic every day. With that comes scuffed walls. Help us roll a fresh coat over the walls in the high traffic areas.

Pressure Wash

We work hard to maintain our grounds in a way that is welcoming and clean. Help us keep the entryway and outside fresh with a good pressure wash.
Fencing

For safety, we are requesting assistance with a fence along the Bateswood side of the street to keep rolling balls, and such, in place.

Shade

The outside of our building gets just as much use as the inside. Help us install new sources for shade for those hot summer days when outdoor activity is at its peak.
Conference Rm.

Our conference room is slowing undergoing an upgrade of tech and aesthetics. Help us finish.

Organization

With 11 tenant partners, the use of various storage locations can get out of control. Help us purge and organize.

Cabinetry

Three of our shared classroom and meeting spaces have room for a wall of locakable cabinets to go in so various users of the room can keep their things there. Help us install.
Murals

There are two spots in the building that have the potential for a mural to go in. If you are highly skilled and artistic, perhaps you can help us beautify!
Cubbies

Between kid backpacks and yoga mats, there is potential use for cubbies. You can help us install them.
Thank You
Service Partners
It takes a community to build a community!
Over the years, different groups have come out to help make site improvements. From remodeling and paint, to sports equipment and gardens, these service partners have made a signficant impact on the Outreach Center of West Houston. Their heart to serve means the world to us! We are forever grateful for their investment of time and energy spent here.
Also, a HUGE shout-out to Family Point Resources for being a major driver behind many past projects! Thanks for all you guys do!
